Nichole was born in Yorkshire and holds a bachelor’s degree from University College London. Currently based in London, she works in a creative agency.

Her influences are rooted in experience - from childhood trips to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to a year spent studying in Rome.  Inspired by abstract expressionists such as Robert Motherwell and Franz Kline her art has at its core two competing concepts - material control and the effects of its loss. Her playful interrogation of these ideas in her work reveals previously unseen perspectives of the everyday.

Realised in charcoal and oil much of her work explores the themes of organic and industrial structure, such as pieces inspired by Yorkshire industrial scenes with Ferrybridge power station proving a particularly moving backdrop. Beyond this, her work extends to more abstract explorations of architecture and the human body.
